Delegates!

Heddiw aeth dau fws i gasglu 20 o ‘delegates’ ymwelwyr o bob cwr o’r byd o faesawyr Birmingham. Trefnwyr gwyliau, rhaglennwyr theatrau ac aelodau o ASSITEJ yw’r mwyafrif, ac mae nhw yma i chwilio am syniadau a gwaith newydd i’w brynnu ar gyfer cynulleidfaoedd ifanc yn eu gwledydd nhw. Wrth gyrraedd tref Aberystwyth daeth y glaw trwm i groesawu pawb ond croesi bysedd y bydd hwn yn diflannu erbyn y bore er mwyn inni gychwyn yr Wyl mewn steil! 

Today our Festival delegates arrived at Birmingham airport ready to board the two buses for the last leg of their joyrney to Aberystwyth. The delegates are a mixture of theatre programmers, festival orgainsers and members of ASSITEJ and they are here at Opening Doors to look for new ideas and productions to showcase to young audiences in their own country. As they arrived Aberystyth the rain also arrived ! Cross fingers that it will be gone before the official start of the Festival in the morning!

Eliot Moleba from South Africa Joins the Team!

Wrth inni baratoi i groesawu oddeutu 100 o ymwelwyr o bob cwr o’r byd i Gymru mae un person ifanc, Eliot Moleba o Dde Africa eisioes wedi cyrraedd! Mae Eliot yn ymuno a’r tim fel rhan o gynllun ASSITEJ Next Generation, cynllun sy’n annog pobl ifanc sydd a diddordeb yn y celfyddydau i ddatblygu cysylltiadu rhyngwladol er mwyn datblygu eu crefft.

Fel y gwelwch o’r llun  uchod mae Eliot, sy’n gynhyrchydd a chyfarwyddwr theatr 26 mlywdd oed, eisioes yn mwynhau ei gyfnod Aberystwyth! Bu’n un o’r criw fu’n perfformio yn y noson ‘Response Time’ yn Oriel Nwy nos Sadwrn.

As we prepare to welcome around 100 international visitors to Wales, one very enthusiastic young man from South Africa has already landed in Aberystwyth! Eliot Moleba is a 26 year old theatre maker and director and he’s working as an Intern at Arad Goch as part of our Festival team.

Eliot has been selected through the ASSITEJ Next Generation Project, which helps support young artists to develop their practice, foster international relationships and encourage collaborations.

As you can see from the image above Eliot is already enjoying his time in Aberystwyth, he was one of several young people who took part in Aberystwyth Gas Gallery’s ‘Response Time’ last Saturday.

OPENING DOORS – 1 – 4 APRIL 2014

Cwmni Theatr Arad Goch are pleased to announce that the 8th AGOR DRYSAU – OPENING DOORS FESTIVAL will take place between 1 – 4 April 2014!

Cwmni Theatr Arad Goch will be celebrating its 25th birthday on the 1st of April and as a result, this years AGOR DRYSAU – OPENING DOORS will be bigger than ever! The jam packed programme contains performances, workshops, professional seminars and several ‘Fringe’ events taking place in the evening.

Performers will be travelling to Wales from Australia, America, Italy, Valencia, Ireland and Northern Ireland, Scotland and France to perform alongside Welsh companies. Performances will take place in Aberystwyth with some companies travelling to Pontardawe Arts Center, Theatr Mwldan, Theatr Felinfach, Lyric Theatre and Gwyn Hall. 

“We want to celebrate our birthday with friends from all corners of the globe, that’s why we have invited several companies to return to Wales for this years Festival to perform alongside Welsh friends and some new friends. It’s going to be an international party and we hope that YOU can join us for this unique event. It’s going to be a feast of theatre for all ages”
